Continuous emissions monitoring system

The continuous emission monitoring systems or CEMS, measure permanently the composition of gases produced by industrial combustion. With the increasing environmental regulations it becomes essential a system that ensures its strict observance, through the capture, recording and reporting of the emissions.

Controltek, in partnership with Teledyne Analytical Instrument – world leader in CEMS systems - provide turn key solutions for controlling emissions of CO2, NO2, CO, NO, dust and other substances.

Traditionally, a central server performs the polling of analogical signals to the acquisition unit, get the captured values and store them on a data base, sending alarms in case of unexpected events. In this arrangement, the connectivity between the polling server and the acquisition unit is vital, because on a cut off, the readings could be lost and the alarms would not be sent, due to the fact that the data will not reach the central server.

On a different way, Controltek’s solution for CEMS Systems performs an active monitoring, recording and processing in-situ the values obtained, transmitting them to the central server and finally stores them. That way, the system could send alarms (sound, relay, email, SMS) even without connectivity with the central server.

It is then possible to install equipment of capture and analysis of gases at remote locations and connecting them to the central systems, even through GPRS connections, whose availability is relatively limited compared to others more costly.

Through our MeterManager web application, it is possible to set the operational thresholds for the various variables, and publish the data in private or public portals.

Controltek’s professional staff could also perform the field study and install and start the whole solution, from installing the admission equipment on elevation to the provision of shelters and equipment racks.
